Harry and Ron Fly Into London

In a weird reality of fictional writing, it seems that the nerdy, glasses wearing human is never the main hero...that is until my good friend J.K. Rowlings wrote the little known Harry Potter series...more on that later but let us begin were we left off...
April 2nd, 2008: After going to bed a mere 5 hours earlier, Jordan and I rose from the comfort of our bunk beds to the stomach churning of moving around...well, maybe that was just me, but I will say that Guinness does not sound as good as it did on April 1st. With a quick shower that Jordan took and I did not, we then went and ate breakfast. With the previous nights spending haunting every corner of our money belts, Jordan and I selected Toast to eat. After putting that in the tummy, we walked to the bus stop to make our way to the Airport, but as Bus 16A approach and we hugged Anu a final time, the 16A wheezed right by us...which got me thinking about the peeing on the streets of Dublin the night before which of course I had forgotten...any way back to the whizzing bus...as it passed by, Jordan and I both thought we were going to miss our flight...you know what this is way too detailed and I am sure you don't care that much...so I will skip the drama and tell you we made it on the next bus and got to the airport with time to spare...
The flight was short and within an hour were in London. We took the train to the city and had an hour to make it to our destination...and eyeing the map we thought "Yeah, we can walk that, it is only about the length of my index finger." And hour later we had practically jogged 4 miles with our backpack and just about died while getting a speed through of the city. As we where let into the Jordan's family connections flat, we were very thankful to be given this place free of charge, it is Russell Square if you care to look on a map.
Jordan and I then made our way to the Market (that is the grocery store for you Americans :) and bought ourselves some supplies and let me tell you that their food is package a lot different, for example bags of chips (or crisps as my English brothers call them) come in several small bags placed in a bigger bag... anywho, after a brilliant ham and cheese sandwich, we decided to rest our weary heads and took a nap intended to be an hour long one...of course it was longer than that and we woke up just before 10pm...oops
Got to speed this up: We got up and then just started walking around London (mothers and girlfriends don't worry it was safe, I promise!) heading north of our flat and then we saw it...a place we had only read about...in seven different children's books...Kings Cross! (That is a train station for you Volemorts out there who hate Harry Potter!) And of course Jordan and I started doing our English accents...alright fine, we started as soon as we landed...as we wondered around Kings Cross looking for the boarding area we found it...the portal to another world: Platform 9 and 3/4!
As we took our many pictures, I being Harry Potter...aka the Hero...and Jordan being Ron...aka the side kick...Jordan and I walked away thinking this was clearly the best night we had had so far. And it was. Something we hadn't planned on happening did and that is what this trip is all about.

Being a Harry Potter fan myself, that has got to be the coolest thing ever!!!! Finding that had to be the most awesome experience. Something that you have read about, and never in your wildest dreams would you think you could actually esperience it.
So, how did that whole walking through the wall thing go for you guys, anyway?
I suddently feel the need to read a Harry Potter book.....
